Are you a dynamic leader passionate about operational excellence and five-star guest experiences? We’re seeking a Director of Operations to join our 5-Star Hotel client's executive team in Los Angeles County. In this high-impact, full-time permanent role, you’ll report directly to the General Manager and play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction and day-to-day performance of a premier hospitality property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the acting General Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless leadership continuity
- Co-develop and execute the annual Operations Plan to achieve financial and service goals
- Lead monthly forecasting and performance analysis for all key departments, including Rooms, F&B, Engineering, Security, and Staff Accommodations
- Drive revenue through strategic yield and inventory management across Rooms and Food & Beverage
- Partner on capital projects, including planning and overseeing execution
- Champion service excellence by ensuring consistent delivery of brand standards and guest satisfaction initiatives
- Resolve guest concerns with poise and urgency, ensuring effective follow-up and service recovery
- Oversee Department Heads across multiple operational units to ensure efficiency and service consistency
- Support staffing strategies and workforce planning to maintain productivity and morale
- Prepare month-end and forecast commentary for the President of Hospitality
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, and Executive Leadership on cross-functional initiatives
- Review, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts in partnership with the General Manager
- Maintain and update Business Continuity and Crisis Management Plans
- Promote a proactive health and safety culture across departments
- Serve as a core member of the Hotel Executive Committee and Senior Leadership Team
- Ensure full compliance with the Annual Budget and 5-Year Strategic Plan
