In this high-impact role, this person will oversee logistics, freight, warehouse operations, and cross-functional execution—building systems, optimizing partnerships, and driving change management initiatives that enable sustainable, scalable growth. Will work closely with senior leadership and play a critical role in shaping the operational foundation for our next chapter.

Warehouse Operations

  • Own the relationship with our 3PL warehouse, ensuring high performance across receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns.
  • Optimize warehouse operations to improve SLAs, reduce costs, and support evolving DTC and retail needs.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and flow across channels; partner with Planning and Merchandising to align on restocks and new product launches.
  • Drive initiatives around warehouse tech tools, process automation, and scalability.
  • Serve as the key liaison between the 3PL warehouse and stores to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Partner with warehouse teams to optimize store fulfillment processes, manage returns to warehouse, and troubleshoot store-level inventory issues.
  • Work closely with freight vendors to ensure efficient, cost-effective store deliveries and manage domestic shipping performance.

Freight & Logistics

  • Manage end-to-end freight operations—international and domestic—including ocean, air, ground, and parcel carriers.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance across freight and shipping.
  • Build and refine freight strategies to support margin goals and ensure timely delivery to both customers and stores.
  • Track and optimize landed costs, including tariffs, duties, and accessorial fees; ensure compliance with trade regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance on freight forecasting, landed cost modeling, and budget planning.

Retail Operations & Logistics Leadership

  • Oversee logistics for store openings, product replenishment, and seasonal transitions.
  • Partner with Retail and Visual Merchandising to ensure stores receive the right product at the right time, in the right condition.
  • Implement logistics SOPs that support consistency and responsiveness across the store fleet.
  • Build and oversee operational standards for the store fleet, ensuring best-in-class execution across store openings, product flow, visual merchandising transitions, and seasonal rollouts.
  • Develop playbooks and tools to support in-store teams, improve productivity, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Lead efforts to improve store stockroom operations, stock-to-floor efficiency, and back-of-house organization.
  • Oversee operational planning and execution for new store openings, remodels, and relocations.
  • Manage timelines, logistics vendors, inventory shipments, fixture deliveries, and operational readiness for all new doors.
  • Partner closely with the Retail team to ensure successful, on-time, and on-budget store launches.

Cross-Functional Project Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional projects to support growth initiatives, working with leadership to define scope, timelines, and resource plans.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, escalating risks and ensuring projects deliver on time and within scope.
  • Collaborate with Product, Merchandising, and Marketing to ensure operational alignment.
  • Internal Communications & Change Management
  • Act as a bridge between senior leadership and operational teams—translating strategy into execution and surfacing risks early.
  • Champion operational change, identifying areas for improvement and leading the adoption of new tools, processes, and systems.
  • Build alignment across teams, ensuring smooth collaboration between internal stakeholders and external partners.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Manage and mentor a small but impactful team; create clarity around roles, responsibilities, and KPIs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the professional development of direct reports and help scale the operations org structure over time.

Qualifications:

  • 7–10 years of experience in Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain, ideally within a high-growth DTC or omnichannel retail brand.
  • Deep expertise across warehouse ops, freight, and vendor management.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects and scaling processes in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills and experience influencing across functions and levels.
  • Highly organized and data-literate; proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and comfortable building complex templates.
  • ERP or OMS experience preferred.
