The men\'s basketball program represents Marquette University on a
national scope with significant university reputation, financial, and
donor relation implications. The Director of Operations will handle
logistics within the men\'s basketball office. Specifically, this
position will be responsible for management of summer camp, team
logistics for away and home competitions, and serve as the primary
liaison for men\'s basketball with the compliance office, university
housing and the business office. The Director of Operations will be
expected to support the efficient operation of the men\'s basketball
office by supervising the student employees and athletics staff. This is

culture of respect and inclusion. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Manage
summer camp to include (but not limited to): develop communication and
marketing materials, oversee registration, secure and process hiring and
payroll related documents for camp staff, manage housing arrangements
and meals for university staff, work with Athletics business office on
camp budget, profit statement and other financial matters. 2. Manage
team logistics for away and home competitions including travel
logistics, scheduling and meals. 3. Manage the on-boarding and off-court
needs of new student-athletes and off-court needs of current
student-athletes including housing, meals and other financial
assistance. Work with the housing office to make decisions about where
the men\'s basketball students will live and coordinate all housing
issues. Purchasing items to help make the residence halls a recruiting
advantage for the basketball team. 4. Manage and maintain budget for
men\'s basketball operating account; men\'s basketball summer camp
account, and the men\'s basketball discretionary account working
directly with the athletics business director. Monitor expenses, prepare
reports, and oversee transactions. 5. Serve as the liaison from Men\'s
Basketball to the athletic compliance team. Understand, interpret, and
report on a complex set of NCAA regulations and requirements. Critical
judgement, integrity and confidentiality are required to navigate
complian e for the team. Complete the required paperwork, and work with
the Compliance Office to provide rules education and implementation for
basketball coaches, student-athletes and recruits. 6. Responsible for
the supervision of staff which includes but is not limited to hiring,
terming, disciplinary actions, performance management, staff
development, etc. 7. Responsible for the supervision of student
employees which includes but is not limited to hiring, training,
disciplinary actions, ending the student\'s assignment, etc. \*\*\*\*\*
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities Bachelor\'s degree Minimum of 4 years working in a basketball
setting; preferably Men\'s Basketball team Supervisory experience
required Proficiency using Microsoft excel and word Proficiency managing
Teamworks Requires extensive verbal and written skills Highly organized
Ability to manage stress and work in a fast-paced environment Requires
working numerous evenings and weekends as well as travel that occurs
during the week and on some weekends between October and April annually
