Director of Operations Location: Dinuba, CA Salary: $200,000–$230,000 annually Bonuses: 30% Short-Term Incentive (STI) and 30% Long-Term Incentive (LTI) Relocation: Eligible (Preference for candidates from California)
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Operations to lead the operational activities at a large-scale food production facility in Dinuba, CA. This role encompasses full responsibility for Operations, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Shipping/Receiving. The successful candidate will drive excellence in product quality, efficiency, safety, cost control, and schedule attainment.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a leader with a strong background in USDA-regulated environments, ammonia refrigeration systems, and managing facilities with over 1,500 employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement both short- and long-term manufacturing strategies.
- Lead, manage, and grow the operations team while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with senior leadership and provide operational expertise to achieve organizational goals.
- Oversee equipment needs and maintain high standards of plant efficiency.
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with vendors and customers.
- Establish, implement, and monitor operational policies and objectives.
- Spearhead technical projects and new line implementations.
- Evaluate and adjust organizational performance to meet objectives.
- Prepare technical budgets, manage resources effectively, and set project deadlines.
- Lead efforts to improve production techniques, incorporate new technologies, and address workforce needs.
- Monitor department costs and prepare operational budgets.
- Oversee recruiting, hiring, performance evaluations, and compensation adjustments.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the frozen food industry and/or USDA-regulated environment.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems in large facilities.
- Experience with Mexican food products or frozen Asian handheld products is a plus.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Familiarity with M3, EAM, and Red Zone is a bonus.
