Summary

A mid-sized architecture firm in Chicago is looking to add a Director of Operations to their team! Job Description: * Responsible for overseeing all firm responsibilities for the preparation of construction drawings, permitting and entitlements, contract administration, preparation of addenda and construction bulletins, review of RFIs and submittals, closeouts and warranty reviews * Daily responsibilities include assigning workload, adjusting staffing needs, assigning project teams, and adjusting the strategic game plan based on work fluctuations to provide efficiency in project deliverables * The individual should possess and apply expert knowledge of materials, assemblies, and technical detail solutions * Will work alongside the firm's Senior Client Relationship Manager to provide all production services for the firm * Direct, assist, and oversee their current Project Managers and Production Staff providing services for prototypical and custom new build freestanding and interior alteration projects Requirements: * 10+ years of experience within the industry * Licensed Architect * High proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office * Excellent clear and concise written and verbal communication * Expert understanding of building codes and energy conservation codes * Document code review and compliance * Industrial, office, & retail new construction & interior alteration experience preferred * Should have expert knowledge of single-story/5,000 SF new construction * Expert knowledge with MEP/S/C/L disciplines * Excel in fast paced and challenging client focused position * Ability to work independently in a remote environment * Ability to travel to assist Project Managers in the field Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
