We are looking for a results-driven Director of Operations to lead manufacturing, assembly, and daily operations. This role ensures production meets customer expectations, quality standards, and continuous improvement goals. Ideal candidates have strong experience in lean manufacturing, team leadership, and vendor coordination within precision or outdoor product industries.

Key Responsibilities

• The Director of Operations will oversee all site operations, driving KPIs for throughput, quality, delivery, and labor efficiency.
• Remove execution bottlenecks and reinforce team accountability.
• Ensure production is properly staffed and aligned with schedules and priorities.
• The Director of Operations will collaborate with engineering and planning teams; maintain visual management systems.
• Lead lean initiatives, including standard work, 6S, and Kaizen events.
• Implement quality control processes and visual standards.
• Manage production supervisors and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• The Director of Operations will train and mentor staff to build skills and promote advancement.
• Foster a culture of ownership, safety, and pride.
• Partner with supply chain teams to ensure material readiness.
• Manage local vendor relationships for coatings, finishing, and rapid-turn parts.
• The Director of Operations will ensure accurate ERP usage, compliance tracking, and performance reporting.
• Present operational metrics in leadership meetings.

Qualifications

• The Director of Operations must hold a degree.
• Must have 5–7+ years in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain leadership from firearms, outdoor products, or precision manufacturing environment.
• Skilled in lean manufacturing and ERP systems (Syteline a plus).
• The Director of Operations must have strong leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Committed to team development and strong shop culture.
• Adaptable in fast-paced environments with evolving products.
