Director of Operational Excellence

Location: Huntersville, NC (Hybrid: 3 days/week in-office)

Compensation: $135K–$150K base + 15% bonus (Up to $180K total)

We’re a fast-growing, PE-backed company in the environmental Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) space. With strong year-over-year growth and aggressive expansion plans, we're scaling fast—and we need the right operational leadership to support it.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created, high-impact leadership role where you’ll drive production performance across a national network of 22 labs. You’ll work cross-functionally with local lab teams, senior leadership, and quality to ensure samples move efficiently, accurately, and on time—every time.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily throughput, expediting bottlenecks, and optimizing workflows while ensuring everything meets the highest quality and compliance standards. This isn’t about maintaining the status quo—it’s about building smarter systems and helping a growing company scale.

What You’ll Own

• End-to-end production planning and execution across all lab locations
• Daily performance monitoring and metric tracking
• Resource allocation and scheduling to meet production targets
• Communication and coordination across departments to remove bottlenecks
• Collaboration with QA to ensure regulatory and internal compliance
• Forecasting volume and capacity in partnership with local GMs and execs

You’re a process-minded operator who thrives in fast-moving environments. You know how to lead teams, drive accountability, and build scalable systems. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves—and you never lose sight of quality while chasing results.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing, lab services, or multi-site operations
• Background in lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement
• Proven ability to lead through influence and drive cross-functional alignment
• MBA preferred, but not required
