With exciting growth plans and as our current head of Mechanical Engineering prepares for retirement, we’re now seeking our coming Director of Mechanical Engineering, who will grow and lead the department into the future.

Your Role

As the Director of Mechanical Engineering, you will:

• Be responsible, lead, develop and inspire a great team of engineers within mechanical design and related development
• Oversee (and coach when needed) customer engagements and projects in automotive and industrial engineering
• Participate and be an active contributor in the management team of EDAG Engineering Scandinavia
• Collaborate with international colleagues in EDAG Group, ensuring optimal solutions for our clients
• Drive strategic growth of department fostering innovation, strong execution and continuous improvement
• Be responsible for growth and utilization of the mechanical engineering team including financial and budget responsibility for the department

What we are looking for:

• Proven leadership experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in automotive and/or other industrial sectors.
• Apart from people skills, also a person enjoying the sales aspect of serving our clients with engineering solutions.
• Experience in mechanical design, product development, and engineering processes.
• A driven, endurant manager with a “hunter” mentality and passion for our company.
• Ability to mentor and develop engineering talents and careers.
• Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
• A clear customer mindset and ambition to impress our clients in our undertakings.
• A colleague with good network at key customers in Sweden.
