We're looking for a Director of Hardware to lead our field service operations, installation planning, and fleet health management. This role is critical to scaling and optimizing our nationwide network of weather stations. You'll lead a team of 6+ installation and service technicians, manage project timelines and deployments, and ensure our hardware remains reliable and responsive across all Customer locations. This role requires strong leadership, excellent Customer orientation, problem-solving capabilities, and detailed organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Own all scheduling, planning, and execution for hardware installations and upgrades, including operational planning, Customer coordination, and weekly execution
  • Oversee service operations, including maintenance and scheduled service calls/trips
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of installation technicians and field personnel
  • Build and optimize processes to improve install efficiency, service performance, and budget performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Experience teams
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards across all field operations
  • Contribute to hardware strategy and scaling initiatives


Requirements

  • 7+ years in field service, installation, or operations roles
  • 5+ years in a leadership or management role, ideally in a growing tech or service-based company
  • Experience overseeing field service planning and scheduling
  • A mix of hands-on technical experience and high-level operations leadership
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and people leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to support installs, team oversight, and site assessments
  • Passion for building efficient systems and teams in a fast-paced environment
