The Opportunity

Description

As the Dietz and Watson, Inc. Director of Engineering, you will lead and direct the engineering department. The Director of Engineering is responsible for leading our engineering team and working closely with other stakeholders to establish strategies for producing quality products and managing resources efficiently, including creation, design, and implementation of engineering capital projects. In this position, you will oversee all engineering and technical aspects of given projects to ensure accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

To ensure success, you need to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and perform your duties in a manner that maximizes profits. Top applicants are dedicated, competent, and have strong “hard” and “soft” leadership, management, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Who We Are

Dietz and Watson, Inc. was founded in 1939 by Gottlieb Dietz, a talented young German sausage maker. His primary goal was to produce the most flavorful, highest quality deli meats in the marketplace, to please even the most discriminating palate. His old-world recipes and commitment to “quality above all” demanded nothing less than the freshest lean beef, ham, pork turkey breast and chicken breast. He then added only the finest all-natural spices and seasonings gathered from around the world.

Today, at Dietz & Watson, Inc., the third and fourth generation of the family continues Gottlieb Dietz’s dedication and commitment in preparing our Premium Deli Meats and Artisan Cheeses. In fact, all of our standards exceed those set by government guidelines.

Our mission is always both perfection and originality. This is how we prepare wholesome, nutritious and uniquely premium meats. And our Master cheese makers create our hand-churned, small batch cheeses with the same commitment to “quality above all”.

Anticipated Schedule

You will work on site at our Philadelphia headquarters location, with responsibility for facilities located in both Philadelphia, PA and Baltimore, MD.
