Director of Engineering

Are you an experienced engineering leader ready to shape the future of operations at a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization? We’re seeking a Director of Engineering to lead strategic initiatives, manage cross-functional projects, and drive innovation across multiple facilities.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead all engineering operations across Philadelphia and Baltimore sites
• Develop and enforce engineering policies, procedures, and standards
• Hire, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team
• Ensure timely, on-budget project delivery in collaboration with project managers
• Align engineering efforts with sales, marketing, and overall business strategy
• Implement continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma practices
• Oversee equipment procurement and vendor relationships
• Monitor and report on engineering KPIs and departmental performance
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards are met
• Champion new technologies and process innovation
• Report directly to senior leadership and help set company-wide direction

What You Bring:

• 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 in a senior leadership role
• Bachelor's in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related); Master’s preferred
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and complex technical projects
• Deep knowledge of scalable systems, process design, and operational strategy
• Experience launching Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Reliability Excellence programs
• Skilled in developing and tracking engineering KPIs
• Outstanding leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in cold environments (~28–33°F) and supporting 24/7 operations as needed
• Bonus: Experience in privately held or family-owned companies
