Position Summary

The Director of Clinical Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of Provider Leads to ensure the effective management of providers and territories. This role focuses on leadership development, operational efficiency, and the implementation of best practices to support high-quality patient care and provider satisfaction. The Director of Clinical Operations will collaborate with clinical leadership, HR, and other departments/leaders to drive initiatives that align with Bloom Healthcare's goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management:
  • Oversee and support a team of Provider Leads, ensuring alignment with Bloom Healthcare's standards and culture.
  • Facilitate leadership development through coaching, mentoring, and regular performance reviews for Provider Leads.
  • Develop and implement strategies for team retention and satisfaction.
  • Strategic Operations Management
  • Coordinate provider community assignments and manage territory growth and optimization.
  • Establish and oversee processes for rebalancing patient panels efficiently.
  • Analyze and report on team performance, identifying areas for operational improvement.
  • Provider Support & Development
  • Lead the development and implementation of training programs for Provider Leads.
  • Ensure Provider Leads effectively support providers with clinical resources, population health management, and HR needs.
  • Promote a collaborative environment to enhance provider performance and patient outcomes.
  • Communication & Compliance
  • Act as a liaison between Provider Leads and senior leadership to communicate company updates, policies, and initiatives.
  • Ensure Provider Leads uphold compliance with company policies and best practices.
  • Manage escalations and resolve conflicts within provider teams.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for Provider Leads and their teams.
  • Conduct regular reviews to assess performance in clinical quality, community relations, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership highlighting successes, challenges, and actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Current Internal Bloom Employee
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in the bloom provider lead role, with at least 2 years at Bloom Healthcare preferred.
  • Currently in good standing/ Power BI metrics.
  • Successful completion of Bloom's LEAD program
  • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with clinical operations, population health, and HR practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business, Nursing, or a related field (master's preferred).

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. The pay range for this role in the state of Colorado typically falls between $150,000 - $165,000 annually with the potential for performance-based bonuses and other benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and location within the state.
