We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Permanent Director of Business Development to join our top-notch Engineering team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead our business development efforts across various defense and military sectors. You'll be responsible for driving growth, expanding our client base, and fostering long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the market. This role requires a deep understanding of the Department of Defense, missile defense, ground weapon systems, vehicle weapon systems, and missile launchers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, business development with the government, and building relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company's overall vision and objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, establish and maintain relationships with potential clients to boost sales and profitability.
- Lead the business capture management and planning process, ensuring all business development activities align with the company's strategic goals.
- Engage with key stakeholders in the Department of Defense, Missile Defense, Ground Weapon Systems, Vehicle Weapon Systems, and Missile Launchers sectors to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Drive the growth of existing and new business by creating and implementing effective sales strategies.
- Provide leadership and management to the sales team, ensuring they meet their targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the company's offerings meet the market's needs and expectations.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and market changes to keep the company competitive.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
- Proven experience in Department of Defense, Missile Defense, Ground Weapon Systems, Vehicle Weapon Systems, and Missile Launchers.
- Demonstrated success in sales and business development with the government.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Solid experience in business capture management and planning.
- Proven track record in growing existing and new business.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Business Strategy and Sales Management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
