Leadership abilities and effective communication skills are necessary for this position.Qualifications for Director of Admissions:Prior sales and marketing experience in the healthcare industry preferredMinimum of two (2) year experience in long-term careProven ability to successfully market the services of the organization.Responsibilities of Director of Admissions:Establish and maintain positive relationships with referral sources to promote skilled servicesCoordinate the referral process from the identification of the appropriate payer source to the analysis of patient informationResponsible for achieving proposed company census and revenue objectivesCollaborate with patient or representative, physicians, residents, nursing staff members, rehabilitation therapy staff members and social work staff members to ensure seamless transfer to the facilityCommunicates information effectively to physicians, supervisors, facility administrators, and any other pertinent personnel in a timely mannerAnalyze patient needs and match with facility services to plan for an appropriate facility placementComplete an on-site visit to the referring facility to review the physician orders, assess the patient’s clinical needs and obtain clinical informationOther duties as assigned by supervisorSkills of Director of Admissions: All qualified applicants should possess the following qualities:Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Ability to respect all members of the healthcare teamStrong documentation skillsSolid work history with excellent attendance and punctuality patience, understanding and compassion for those requiring our careAs a Westport Rehabilitation and Nursing employee, you will enjoy working in an environment that promotes professional growth and development that offers competitive wages, PTO, and insurance plans.Job Type: Full-time
