We are seeking an experienced Director of Administration to oversee the administrative operations, facilities, and HR functions of our client's Silicon Valley office. As a key leader in a top-tier global law firm, this role requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience managing administrative staff and ensuring the seamless operation of a dynamic legal environment.


About the Role:

Office Management & Operations:

  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and professionalism.
  • Manage office facilities, vendor relationships, and service contracts.
  • Implement best practices to maintain a high-functioning workplace.

Administrative Leadership:

  • Supervise and support administrative staff, ensuring top-tier service delivery.
  • Oversee workload distribution, performance management, and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing administrative team.

Human Resources & Talent Management:

  • Manage HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Partner with firm leadership to uphold firm policies, compliance, and best practices.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.

Finance & Budgeting:

  • Oversee office budgets, expenses, and cost management.
  • Work with firm leadership on financial planning and operational efficiency.

Culture & Engagement:

  • Serve as a key liaison between local staff and firm leadership.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Lead office events, initiatives, and community-building efforts.


About You:

  • 10+ years of experience in office administration within a global law firm or professional services environment.
  • Proven ability to manage administrative teams, facilities, and HR functions effectively.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced, high-expectation environment with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience with budget management and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business or accounting.
