Job Summary:

The Director of the MCA Program is a senior academic and administrative leader responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and operational excellence of the department. The Director will lead faculty development, academic planning, research initiatives, industry collaboration, and accreditation efforts to ensure the MCA program meets the highest standards of quality and relevance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic leadership and strategic direction to the MCA department.
• Develop and implement academic policies, curriculum planning, and program delivery aligned with AICTE/UGC norms.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage faculty and staff; encourage professional development.
• Oversee the design and execution of innovative teaching-learning methods and the integration of new technologies.
• Promote high-quality research, consultancy, and publication efforts among faculty and students.
• Build industry partnerships to enhance internships, placements, guest lectures, and curriculum relevance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory/accreditation bodies like AICTE, NAAC, NBA, etc.
• Develop departmental budgets, manage resources efficiently, and ensure smooth administrative functioning.
• Foster a student-centric culture focused on academic excellence, discipline, and overall development.
• Represent the department in academic boards, institutional committees, and external bodies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational:
• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• MCA / M.Tech (CSE/IT) / M.Sc. (CS/IT) with consistently good academic record.
• Experience (as per AICTE/UGC norms):
• Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, including at least 5 years in an academic administrative role (e.g., HOD/Dean/Associate Director).
• Strong publication record in indexed journals (Scopus/SCI/UGC-Care).
• Proven experience in handling academic accreditations, policy formulation, and team leadership.
