JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Market Evolution is a strategic leader responsible for ensuring Think Together remains ahead of the curve in program innovation, market responsiveness, and competitive positioning. This role leads the development of scalable solutions, best-in-class RFP strategies, and forward-thinking programming aligned with educational trends, stakeholder needs, and long-term growth opportunities. By collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners, the Director of Market Evolution drives the continuous evolution of Think Together's offerings and helps solidify the organization's reputation as an innovative leader in education. Through data-informed insights and compelling impact storytelling, this leader will ensure Think Together remains responsive, relevant, and results-driven in an ever-changing landscape. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Market-Responsive Programming & Innovation • Lead the design and evolution of programs that respond to emerging educational trends, partner needs, and community priorities. • Develop scalable program models that balance innovation, feasibility, and long-term impact. • Partner with internal teams to pilot, evaluate, and refine new offerings that advance Think Together's mission and competitive edge. • Anticipate market shifts and proactively guide programming adaptations to meet evolving stakeholder expectations. Strategic RFP Leadership & Process Optimization • Oversee the end-to-end RFP strategy, ensuring high-quality submissions aligned with market demands and Think Together's value proposition. • Build and continuously improve a streamlined, data-informed RFP process that boosts win rates and efficiency. • Develop cross-functional RFP teams and support capacity-building efforts across departments. • Monitor and analyze RFP outcomes to inform future strategy and refine content and narratives. Strategic Positioning & Market Expansion • Identify and prioritize new market entry opportunities in alignment with organizational goals and impact plans. • Drive strategies for geographic and programmatic expansion, including the launch of new offerings in underserved markets. • Collaborate with business development and executive leadership to position Think Together as a preferred education solutions partner. • Maintain awareness of competitor activity and shifts in the education landscape to refine Think Together's positioning. Impact Storytelling & Data-Driven Decision Making• Leverage program and partner data to craft compelling narratives that demonstrate Think Together's value, impact, and innovation. • Develop tools and templates that help teams articulate the value proposition in proposals and external communications. • Monitor key success metrics such as partner satisfaction, program effectiveness, and market reach. • Translate insights into actionable strategies for continuous improvement and organizational growth. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in business, Public Policy, Education, or a related field; master's degree (MBA, MPA, or similar) preferred • 5 years of experience in market strategy, program development, or business development-ideally in education, nonprofit, or social impact sectors • Proven success in leading program innovation, RFP strategies, or market expansion efforts • Strong understanding of market dynamics in education and related policy trends • Demonstrated ability to translate data and trends into strategy and compelling communications • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing high-impact narratives and proposals • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, mission-driven environment • High degree of initiative, accountability, and strategic thinking • Familiarity with California's education ecosystem and funding landscape is a plus COMPUTER SKILLS: • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and Adobe • File Management (One Drive, Box, Dropbox, etc.) * Project Management tools (Asana, Microsoft Planner, etc. • Email, Internet, website, and social media platforms. • Use of typical office equipment COMPENSATION: * Salary Range $105,000-$115,000 This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
