Position Overview: We are seeking a visionary and accomplished Director of Hardware Engineering to lead our hardware development team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for hardware engineering, driving product innovation, and ensuring scalability and reliability across our robotic systems. You will work closely with other senior leaders to align engineering efforts with company goals and customer needs.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the hardware engineering strategy to support product development goals and business objectives
Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of hardware engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence
Oversee the design, development, testing, and validation of hardware systems for autonomous mobile robots
Ensure hardware projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineering, robotics, and product management, to ensure seamless integration of hardware systems
Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and partners to support hardware development and production efforts
Establish best practices for hardware development processes, documentation, and project management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
A minimum of 10 years of experience in hardware engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in robotics or a closely related industry
Proven track record of successful hardware product development from concept to production
Strong technical expertise in electronic design, circuit design, and robotics systems
Experience with project management methodologies and tools
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
