OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading apparel manufacturer seeking for a strategic and results-oriented Director – Finance to lead the financial operations of a leading apparel manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with deep expertise in financial planning, cost management, and compliance, preferably within the apparel or manufacturing sector. This role requires close collaboration with executive leadership to drive profitability, ensure strong financial governance, and support business expansion both locally and globally.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage all financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, tax planning, treasury, and audit.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee working capital management, including receivables, payables, and inventory controls.
  • Monitor and control manufacturing costs, margins, and pricing strategies to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive process improvements and automation within the finance function.
  • Provide financial insight and risk analysis to support strategic decision-making, new investments, and expansion into new markets.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


PRE - REQUISITES:

- BSC in Finance or an equivalent qualification with professional qualifications of CA / CIMA or equivalent; a MBA in Finance would be an added advantage.

- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the apparel or any manufacturing sector.

- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and decision-making at the senior level.
