Position Summary

The Director, Corporate FP&A will be a key member of the corporate finance team, reporting directly to the CFO. This role will be responsible for managing all corporate financial planning and analysis activities, including the consolidation, preparation and management of the annual plan and quarterly financial forecasts. This leader will drive the planning process, own the financial planning tool, influence business decisions and drive organizational priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will become the primary business partner for many corporate functions, such as R&D, Clinical Affairs, G&A, and Regulatory/Quality. This position will support those functions with high quality business insight to drive revenue growth, expense management, and gross margin expansion. The Director, Corporate FP&A will also participate in the strategic planning process, helping their business partners develop long range goals and associated spending profiles. There is currently one FP&A Analyst reporting into this position.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Lead the financial planning processes across the company, including long-term strategic planning, annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports - analyzing operating and financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating key messages to senior management
  • Lead ad hoc financial modeling and analysis for special projects; build detailed financial models for scenario planning Develop and track KPIs to provide business insights to department leads and executive management, leveraging knowledge of key financial and operational drivers.
  • Lead financial systems and process optimization, capturing efficiencies and simplifying data structures.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to develop annual budgets and long-range plans for a full P&L to be included in the strategic planning process.
  • Partner with IT and the Finance Systems Director to drive adoption of the newly instituted Planful planning and reporting tool.
  • Drive system implementations and process improvements to align the company finance organization with industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, as well as specific regulatory requirements of the healthcare industry.
  • Recruit, manage and mentor FP&A analysts as the company grows. Lead, inspire and develop a team.
  • Perform such other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time in the Company’s discretion.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in accounting, finance, or business management.
  • 10-15+ years of FP&A experience at a global company, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficient in financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Experience working with a complex ERP system.
  • Experience with Planful is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner to all levels of management.
  • Experience in a manufacturing company preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to provide recommendations to all levels of management.
  • Collaborative team player with a passion for helping co-workers solve business challenges.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starter with a high energy level, motivation, and endurance to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, rapid-growth environment.
  • Experience in business partnership with a sales organization is a plus.
  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or similar professional certification is a plus.

Salary Range: $216,000 - $259,000 (Annual Base Salary)

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
