Role Overview

The Director of Consulting Operations is a key role responsible for contributing to growth-focused efforts and managing business operations for the firm’s Lines of Business (LOBs). This individual collaborates with consulting leaders as well as Talent (HR), Finance, Marketing, Knowledge Management, and other functions to implement priority initiatives and support the firm’s mission to provide outstanding value to clients and stakeholders. The position will touch a broad range of activities including practice operations, sales and pursuit manag ement, business planning and execution, and other go-to-market efforts. The Director will support priority offerings across the firm, with a focus on one or more LOBs.

Responsibilities

Overall Consulting/Practice Management and Operations

l Support Chartis Consulting and practice leadership to make progress against the strategic agenda and collaborate with firm resources to deliver results against strategic, operational, and financial goals

l Monitor the sales pipeline, coordinating with lead owners to ensure follow-through and identify support requirements

l Facilitate communication including practice and offering area meeting schedules, agenda development, and other connectivity points

l Lead collaboration efforts with practice operations and key functional areas across the business to connect the dots between related endeavors and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

l Ensure adherence to firm processes (legal, financial, project management, people)

Active Pursuit Coordination and Proposal Development

l Drive the proposal process for key RFPs and strategic opportunities

l Coordinate and facilitate discussions by pursuit teams, providing project management support, and acting in a leadership capacity throughout the pursuit process

l Develop first-line proposal content based on standard offerings and working with practice area leadership for de novo pursuits

l Review proposals and pricing models to ensure quality

l Manage orals process and deadlines to ensure a well-prepared and differentiated presentation and team

l Maintain pulse on market competitors and firm differentiators to inform pursuit strateg y

Business Development and Go-to-Market Efforts

l Synthesize, draft, edit, and finalize a range of other internal and external-facing firm communications materials in support of business development activities

l Collaborate with leadership and Marketing to execute on overarching marketing and thought leadership plan

Qualifications And Desired Skills

l 8+ years of experience working in a management consulting firm with healthcare-focused consulting experience required .

l Bachelor’s degree required ; Advanced degree preferred (e.g. MBA, MPH, MHA, MPA)

l Strong project management experience, comfortable managing and prioritizing under tight timelines

l Ability to rapidly learn and synthesize new knowledge and insights

l Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; Ability to synthesize content and communicate in concise, informative written communication

l Exceptional client service orientation - highly responsive and willing to go the extra mile

l A flexible self-starter; able to manage multiple projects and processes while remaining extremely detail oriented

l Experience collaborating across functional teams

l Advanced capabilities in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel

l Passion for materially improving the delivery of healthcare in the world

l The role works remotely, however, must be able to travel occasionally to firm and practice area meetings

Salary range: $ 130,000 -$ 180,000 , plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
