Position Overview:
Under direction of the President of the East Bay Division, the Area Director of Operations for the East Bay will serve as a leader responsible for improving clinical and operational integration across Sutter East Bay. This individual will partner with Community Practices and FQHC Networks to develop and enable partnerships that improve patient access through throughout the East Bay. This role will drive market-wide performance initiatives, including the development and deployment of tactics that will drive growth and appropriate utilization. The Director will collaborate closely with the Division CMO, Division CFO, Hospital CEOs and Hospital CMEs to build trusted and impactful engagement models that drives alignment across Sutter Health's Hospitals and Ambulatory Network in the East Bay Division.
Oversees the operational strategies for affiliates and provides support and assistance to achieve goals and performance targets. Maintains a liaison relationship between various stakeholder.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Business, Health Services or related healthcare field or equivalent education/experience
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
12 years recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
* Must have the demonstrated knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to tactfully direct the efforts of diverse health professionals to meet patient and physician needs
* Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others including management, senior management, and governing bodies, physician partnerships, and other owners.
* Extensive knowledge of financial reporting, analysis and ASC/Hospital reimbursement
* Considerable knowledge of regulatory, licensing, certification and accreditation requirements
* Adaptability to work with a large corporate environment.
* Must be a flexible, creative individual who is open to change
* Capacity to perform under deadline pressure and handle multiple sites and projects simultaneously
* Ability to act upon difficult decisions to drive desired changes, as well a capability to lead, guide and promote a sense of shared purpose within the team.
* Documentation and communication skills required.
* Advanced computer skills required

Pay Range is $103.75 to $166.00 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
