Position: Director Accounting Construction

Salary: $100k – 140k

Summary

We are in search of a brilliant Leader that has intense knowledge in construction finance along with providing guidance to the team by reviewing and auditing the Design & Development team’s financial records. We are seeking someone who has superior financial statement skills – able to prepare and analyze budgets. Ability to maintain a high-level of strategic thinking – very capable of defining problems and draw valid conclusions. Capable of analyzing and presenting complex information clearly and communicating quickly through various methods.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Reviews and audits of all D&D financial
• Records; conducts forecasting and reporting year of year revenues and expenses
• Establishes and implements short-and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness; implements changes required for improvement. Identifies key drivers of success
• Responsible for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental policies and procedures; records and reports
• Monitors all activities of the department to ensure that all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and controls property wide are enforced
• Creates and administers departmental operating budget and financial controls. Responsible for financial planning, forecast, labor, and payroll for areas of responsibility
• Ensure departments deliver and maintain a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction.
• Overseas all hiring, performance management, and employee engagement within the department. Provides training opportunities, constructive and positive feedback to team members within their area of responsibility Creates a motivating environment
• Keep informed of all new developments within the department and makes recommendations designed to maximize department and company success.
• Manages multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines
• Must have the ability to promote positive, fair, and ethical relations with all team members, guests, and other third parties
• Create an enthusiastic, energetic service-oriented culture and provide leadership in developing employee engagement strategies, leadership engagement, and employee communication plans and activities
  
  

Qualifications

• Master’s in accounting or in a similar discipline is required
• Must have a minimum of (10) ten years of general accounting experience, preferably ten (10) years of experience in construction accounting
