Role: Sr Network Engineer/Architect- – Versa SD-WAN Engineering & Design

Location: Onsite – Plano TX OR Jersey City NJ OR Columbus OH

Job Type: 2 FTE and 2 Contract (4 positions total)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end architecture and design of Versa SD-WAN infrastructure across JPMC’s global enterprise footprint.

• Create and maintain detailed high-level and low-level designs for secure SD-WAN deployments and site migrations.

• Engineer and configure Versa Director, Analytics, and Controller components to support distributed and centralized deployments.

• Integrate SD-WAN solutions with JPMC’s legacy MPLS, cloud, and internet network environments, ensuring policy compliance and performance optimization.

• Collaborate closely with network operations, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to ensure consistent zero trust principles, segmentation, and threat visibility.

• Develop standardized configuration templates for ZTP and lifecycle automation using scripting tools (Python, Ansible, REST APIs).

• Lead technical evaluation, proof of concepts (PoCs), and production readiness assessments for new features and upgrades.

• Serve as a technical SME and escalation point for troubleshooting and incident response related to Versa SD-WAN.

• Document all network configurations, change controls, and technical knowledge for compliance audits and internal standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with at least 2–3 years focused on Versa SD-WAN.

• Deep understanding of IP networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, VRFs, and tunneling (IPsec, GRE).

• Hands-on experience with Versa Secure SD-WAN (VOS, VCP) architecture, including security features like NGFW, URL filtering, and IDS/IPS.

• Strong familiarity with network segmentation, ZTP workflows, VNF/NFV, and carrier-class WAN topologies.

• Proven track record with large-scale SD-WAN transformations in a regulated or complex enterprise environment.

• Proficiency with automation and scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python), and use of RESTful APIs for network orchestration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments.

• Familiarity with cloud networking and integration across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Versa Certified SD-WAN Professional or similar industry certification (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, etc.).

• Experience with service assurance tools, observability platforms, and NetOps frameworks.
