Located in the Silicon Valley, Tiposi is a medical device startup developing cutting-edge technology to image brain activity using microwave signals. We're looking for a DSP engineer who can design, prototype, and implement advanced signal processing algorithms for real-world, noisy data collected from antenna arrays interacting with human tissue. This role focuses on creating and implementing DSP algorithms to help extract clear, usable signal information from noisy and complex data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement algorithms for filtering, denoising, and signal separation
• Process and analyze microwave signal data collected from antenna systems
• Write and maintain DSP code in Python or MATLAB
• Tune and evaluate algorithm performance across varied datasets
• Collaborate with other engineers to integrate DSP outputs into larger systems

Qualifications

• PhD in DSP, signal analysis, or related areas
• Strong coding skills in Python and/or MATLAB
• Experience working with real-world signal data (e.g., RF, radar, biomedical, or similar)
• Understanding of filters, spectral analysis, interference mitigation, and related DSP concepts
• Ability to take initiative and work through open-ended technical problems

Bonus Skills

• Experience with microwave or antenna-based systems
• Familiarity with C++ or embedded systems
• Exposure to signal propagation through physical media (e.g., biological tissue, multipath environments)

Compensation Structure

Estimated $100,000 - $120,000 annual salary for full-time employees after completing an initial "exploratory period." (Note: exploratory period compensation will likely be $4,000-$7,000/month, depending on work experience)
