Starr is standing up a dedicated Digital Exchange to let our broker partners quote, bind, and service business in minutes—not weeks. Your mission is to be the advocate for those brokers and the internal champion who makes sure product, underwriting, IT, and ops stay aligned on that promise
Key Responsibilities
Identify market needs, conduct competitive analysis, and define product specs - use insights to inform product strategy
Ensure strategy complies with underwriting and regulatory guidelines
- Broker onboarding & adoption
Design repeatable playbooks, training, and enablement assets
Own the entirety of the submit, quote, bind, and service process.
- Client advocacy & success management
Maintain executive-level relationships with top broker partners
Run QBRs, surface ROI, and manage expansion pipeline.
- Technical integration leadership
Translate broker workflows into API/data requirements
Partner with IT to configure, test, and validate integrations, ensuring data quality and compliance
Capture VOC insights, quantify impact, and prioritize with DX product/engineering
Champion broker-requested features through delivery
- Performance analytics & reporting
Track loss ratios, premium growth, and adoption metrics
Deliver actionable dashboards to underwriting, actuarial, and leadership teams
- Continuous improvement & governance
Co-chair mini steering committee with PC/LOB heads
Drive issue resolution
Required Background
- 5-8 years in customer success, product, or underwriting roles within insurtech, carrier, or MGA environment, ideally on a digital trading or API-driven platform.
- Working knowledge of P&C lines—casualty, financial, professional, property—and associated underwriting principles.
- Proven track record of driving client adoption and revenue growth in a SaaS or platform setting.
- Technical fluency: can read an API spec, map data fields, and speak credibly with engineers about architecture, security, and scalability.
- Strong analytical skills (SQL/BI basics a plus) to turn raw data into broker-ready insights.
- Excellent communicator and facilitator; comfortable with C-suite conversations and cross-functional workshops.
Bonus points
- Experience integrating with broker management systems (e.g., Vertafore, Applied).
- Background in agile product delivery or scaled customer-success playbooks.
- Prior exposure to global or wholesale broker networks.
