Golf VX is seeking a Digital Platforms & Analytics Intern to support and improve the full stack of digital systems powering our golf simulator businesses with potential to go full-time after 90 days. This is a unique opportunity and resume-builder for someone who wants to break into startup operations, digital strategy, business analytics, or the sports technology industry.
You’ll help develop and maintain our WordPress sites, integrated automations, analytics dashboards, and marketing platforms while learning how to delegate, manage timelines, and communicate with outside contractors. If you're looking for real responsibility (not busywork), this role will give you a seat at the table.
Responsibilities
1. Web Development (WordPress)
- Help manage updates across our WordPress-based websites.
- Test and report bugs, performance issues, or UX inconsistencies.
- Coordinate with web contractors and assist with feedback cycles.
2. Automation & Systems Integration
- Work inside Make.com and other no-code platforms to improve workflows.
- Maintain API-based integrations, backend logic, and data sync between tools.
- Troubleshoot connection issues and propose system improvements.
3. Venue Analytics & Dashboards (Power BI)
- Manage KPIs and visuals for our internal reporting dashboards.
- Help build data flows for subscriptions, simulator usage, and league activity.
- Provide insights to help franchise locations grow and optimize.
4. Marketing Automation & Campaign Tracking
- Support setup of email flows, UTM tagging, and form logic for lead capture.
- Help document the impact of campaigns and track multi-channel engagement.
- Learn how to use SEO, analytics, and earned media together to drive growth.
5. Digital System Improvement
- Audit and document how systems work today, suggest where they can be better.
- Write SOPs used by future interns, employees, and franchisees.
- Learn how to balance speed and structure in a scaling business.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in digital platforms, automation, and data-driven problem solving
- Comfortable navigating multiple tools and learning new systems quickly
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Proactive mindset with the ability to manage projects independently and in teams
- Detail-oriented and capable of balancing both technical tasks and big-picture thinking
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with WordPress (editing content, testing features, or managing updates)
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Monday.com or HubSpot
- Exposure to Make.com, Zapier, or similar automation platforms
- Basic understanding of Power BI, Looker Studio, or dashboard/reporting tools
- Interest in or experience with the game of golf (played competitively, worked at a course, or general industry familiarity)
