We are seeking an experienced and motivated Digital Marketing Assistant Manager to support the onboarding and daily management of the Digital Marketing team within a Global Center of Excellence (GCoE). This role plays a critical part in the coordination, performance oversight, and skill development of team members who contribute to a broad range of digital experience capabilities. The Assistant Manager will collaborate closely with leadership in India and partner with digital stakeholders globally, including teams in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily activities of the Digital Marketing team, including managing team schedules, handling time-off requests, resolving staffing conflicts, and aligning resources effectively.
- Monitor team and individual performance against established goals and KPIs, identifying trends, performance gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback, participate in performance reviews, and help identify training and development opportunities to enhance the team’s skills and contributions.
- Ensure that deliverables are completed accurately, aligned with standard practices, and meet agreed service-level agreements (SLAs) and brand standards.
- Support leadership with insights into team member strengths, weaknesses, and career growth potential by providing regular feedback and reporting.
- Promote a collaborative and cohesive team culture across the GCoE Digital Marketing function, fostering alignment with global digital marketing strategies and values.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the digital team’s tools, processes, workflows, SLAs, and brand guidelines to ensure efficient management and quality oversight.
- Provide status updates and performance reports to leadership on a recurring basis, highlighting progress, issues, and risks.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in digital marketing to help support team evolution and innovation.
Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent in Marketing.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital marketing, including at least 4 years in a leadership or team management role.
- Proven expertise in multiple areas of digital marketing including marketing automation, website content management, social media, and digital customer experience.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as content management systems (CMS), CRM/Marketing Automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce), web analytics, and social media platforms.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to present and influence effectively at all levels.
- Empathetic, solution-oriented leader with strong mentoring skills and a collaborative approach.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of project management practices, including task delegation and resource allocation.
- Experience using Workfront or other project management software is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
