Summer Student Job Opportunity: Digital Marketing Coordinator
Term: Full-Time, 12 Weeks (June to August 2025)
Wage: $18.00/hour
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta
Hours: 35 hours/week
- Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Thurs: 11:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Join the Fort Saskatchewan and Lamont County Regional Chamber of Commerce as our Digital Marketing Coordinator for Summer 2025! This exciting 12-week position focuses primarily on supporting the Fort Saskatchewan Farmers’ Market—our flagship summer event—as well as helping with marketing and communications for other Chamber initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Executive Director, and working closely with our Senior Events Coordinator, our digital marketing coordinator will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and curating the weekly Farmers’ Market:
- Vendor coordination and communications
- Database and logistics support
- On-site Chamber lead during market operations
- Enforcement of market rules and policies
- Create and publish engaging social media content (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Update website and assist with digital marketing campaigns for the market and other Chamber events
- Support the planning and execution of promotions and special events
- Provide general membership, communications, and administrative support
- Other duties as assigned

QualificationsRequired:
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 30 on the start date
- Must have been a student during the previous academic year and be returning to studies in the next academic year
- Alberta resident and legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must have reliable transportation
Preferred Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience with social media marketing (experience with Canva is an asset)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Team-oriented but able to work independently
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs and available Thursdays until 7:30 p.m.
- Experience in event planning, leadership, or customer service is an asset
