Job Summary
The Digital Forensic Unit (DFU) is responsible for the handling of all digital evidence seized or acquired by the Serious Fraud Office. This includes the collection of evidence on site, forensic processing of any items seized or received from third parties, and the processing of these items into a format that Case Teams can access through the SFO’s review platform.
As a Digital Forensic Technician, you will be required to carry out a number of tasks on day to day basis. Your workload can include forensic imaging, extraction of mobile devices, liaising with case teams, validation and testing, reporting clear and concise details of progress and findings to the case team.
