Plymouth Rock is seeking a dynamic, innovative and highly motivated Digital Communications Manager to join our growing marketing team and shape the way we engage with our independent agent network.
The Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for understanding the independent agency business model, the needs of Plymouth Rock’s independent insurance agents, and the tools required for agents to competitively sell our personal lines insurance products. The Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for leading the communications strategy for Plymouth Rock’s independent agent channel, improving agent engagement, enhancing our brand presence across various platforms, while overseeing a team of marketing and communications professionals. Additionally, the Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for the development and oversight of various tools and resources, as well as all agent marketing materials.
As the Digital Communications Manager, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to drive projects that deepen our relationships with agents, create alignment between the organization and our agency partners, while influencing the growth of our independent agency business. Responsibilities
Independent Agency Communications Program:
- Develop a best-in-class email communications program.
- Lead and implement a comprehensive email marketing strategy to engage independent agents and successfully drive email metrics.
- Create targeted, segmented communications journeys.
- Analyze program performance and continuously identify opportunities for program optimizations.
Marketing Hub – Online Platform Management
- Oversee the strategy and development of the digital marketing portal, The Plymouth Rock Marketing Hub.
- Lead optimization initiatives to improve the agent experience.
- Build engagement journeys that segment users through targeted content, maximizing platform engagement.
Digital Asset Management
- Lead the creation of compelling, relevant digital content for agent use, including marketing materials, resources, sales tools, social media content, etc.
- Lead extensive competitor reviews to identify new, meaningful agent resources to be developed by Plymouth Rock.
Agent Insights
- Manage the execution of the annual agent survey and survey analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on opportunities to enhance the agent experience.
- Identify additional opportunities to collect agent feedback.
Program Best Practices
- Establish communications “best practices” and style-guide for the email program to ensure the team is effectively communicating with independent agents.
- Ensure that all content is aligned with Plymouth Rock’s branding, tone and value proposition.
Program Performance Analysis
- Conduct ongoing program analysis of email performance key performance indicators.
- Identify opportunities to enhance data accuracy and validation.
Industry Awareness & Innovation
- Stay up to date with industry trends, digital marketing innovations and technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of professional experience, including prior management experience.
- Proven project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on scope, on budget, and on time.
- Thorough understanding of email principles (design, build, and segmentation) and familiarity with email best practices (deliverability, A/B testing, dynamic content, campaign automation, etc.).
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to solve problems independently.
- Strong ability to analyze data and use insights to improve content and engagement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional writing skills, including experience with creative briefs and email copy.
- Passion for staying current with digital marketing trends and emerging technologies.
- Insurance industry experience or familiarity with insurance products is a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
