Position Overview
Calculates, prepares, delivers, and monitors infant and pediatric formulas and human milk. Adheres to all food safety and sanitation standards. Performs inventory management, operates feeding preparation equipment, maintains sanitation in the feeding preparation room, completes temperature and sanitation records, performs quality improvement activities, and collaborates with Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses when feeding orders change.

Job Description:
- HS Diploma: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required. Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition preferred.
Typical Experience
- 1 year hospital food service or diet office experience preferred.
Skills And Knowledge
- Knowledge of safe food handling principles.
- Possess written and verbal communication skills to explain information clearly and professionally to a diverse audience.
- Well-developed time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize duties and work within standard operating procedures to meet deadlines.
- General knowledge of computer operations such as Microsoft Office Suite, diet office software, and electronic medical records.
- Interprets a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Accomplish multiple tasks in an environment of frequent interruptions.
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
- Ensure the privacy of protected health information.
- Build collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

Pay Range is $27.09 to $33.84 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
