DevOps Engineer - Top Secret Clearance

Location: Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO

Metric5 is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer for a software development project within the Department of Defense / NGA. The DevOps Engineer will work within a DevSecOps environment on an Ops team to securely maintain and deploy updates to the existing web based knowledge repository that is built upon OpenShift technologies to all client domains. You are comfortable working side by side with other engineers, developers, product managers, designers, and clients, to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. You have a passion to maintain secure high-quality, reliable, and available software solutions and are a fast learner. This position is on-site in either Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO with some flexibility to work remotely.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience with DevOps and system administration
• Experience with RedHat OpenShift and container orchestration
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for application deployment
• Strong scripting skills
• Security+ Certification
• In depth knowledge of AWS services
• Hands on experience in AWS resource provisioning
• Knowledge of application deployment and data migration on AWS
• Experience in AWS Networking – Direct Connect/VPC, NACL’s, security groups, etc.,
• System Security/Patching (STIGs)
• Server Installation (Windows)
• Troubleshooting of Servers
• Troubleshooting Networking
• Monitoring system health, report and resolving hardware and software issues
• Follow up on customer support problems
• Will require occasional after hours and/or weekend work to support operational issue

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related technical degree required

Years of Experience: 2+ years of related experience

Clearance: US Citizen with TS/SCI Clearance

Annual Salary: $120,000 - $148,000
