We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as DevOps Engineer/Software Developer. Reporting to the Technology manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in Mumbai, India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our department and its’ growth.

Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Operations Technology Manager Hedge & ManCo, the candidate will play a key role in de-risking and stabilizing an application called 3Cats. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for reviewing and updating the code to the most recent standards, creating or improving existing documentation, developing and supporting other applications (Custom reports, API integrations) as well as new functionality enhancements.

Candidate will collaborate cross functionally with other Technology managers, business users, business analysts, QA testers and other stakeholders to achieve results.

Key responsibilities:

• Reviewing 3Cats Code developed in C#, review existing Excel vba Template
• Suggest alternatives to vba macros – preferably in Python
• Defining queries for generating parametrized reports and creating SQL Based report layouts in the Report Design specific interface of our Hedge Application Paxus, and possibly in SSRS
• Experienced in writing simple to complex stored procedures and functions
• Automating and managing control flow, data flow, events, logging, and user defined variables for SSIS packages
• Participate in code reviews to improve code quality
• Collaborate effectively with technical as well as non-technical stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with Development lead and Technology Managers to understand and clarify requirements

Attributes & Skills:

• Excellent knowledge in C, C++, .NET
• Good knowledge of Python
• Excellent knowledge of SQL/TSQL
• Expertise in Visual Studio
• Experience with SSIS and Reporting Services
• Hands on experience in SSRS report development
• Experience in developing REST based APIs
• Knowledge of HTTP, REST and JSON
• Experience in using code repository such as GitHub
• Proactive problem solver with good planning and organizing skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; Fluent in English
• Strong team player

Relevant experience:

• 4+ years’ experience in IT industry
• Development experience with C#, JavaScript, Node.js and any other API technologies is an advantage

Education/Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent degree or certifications
