Role Description

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer for our client in the events management industry to strengthen the reliability, scalability, and performance of their platform. You’ll collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams to automate infrastructure, improve developer workflows, and ensure live systems stay performant and secure.


Responsibilities

  • Automate deployment, scaling, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Build tools and scripts (e.g., Python, Fabric) to improve developer workflows and streamline environment setup
  • Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure uptime and fast incident response
  • Support and evolve our CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and deployment strategies
  • Ensure PCI compliance through evidence collection, report generation, and ongoing audit support
  • Participate in on-call rotations and proactively troubleshoot production issues
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve system observability, reliability, and cost-efficiency
  • Continuously identify areas for automation, optimization, and better tooling across the SDLC


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role is required
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud and Kubernetes in production environments
  • Strong scripting and automation skills with Python and tools like Fabric or similar
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins) and software development lifecycle
  • Comfort working in an Agile team, with a proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership
  • Bonus: Experience with Terraform, Helm, or workflow automation platforms (e.g., Temporal, Airflow)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work partially within US Mountain time zone
