Desirable Skills:
3 – 5 Years of relevant work experience with Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science/IT/Engineering or 5–7 Years of relevant work experience
● At least 3+ years experience of working in one or more multinational work environments (e.g.
healthcare industry experience is a plus).
● Strong understanding of the Enterprise platforms and related technologies (e.g. ServiceNow,
Veeva, GitLab, Jira etc).
● Nice to have - Proven experience in developing and delivering CGT therapies workflows
● Must have a Product development mindset using DevOps approach/methodology.
● Deep experience in handling digital infrastructure(CaaS, IaaS & SaaS) and integration
capabilities.
● Professional level of understanding for following Architecture topics
○ Microservices
○ API Led Architecture(MuleSoft)
○ Event-Driven Architecture
● Professional level of understanding for following Cloud Solutions topics
○ Kubernetes
○ Docker
● Professional level of understanding for following Source code management topics
○ Git
● Professional level of understanding for following Functional tasks
○ System Integration
○ Debugging
○ Defect/Quality control for the Systems involved.
● Nice to have experience in functional agile programs with a substantial validated enabling
technology element in a highly regulated industry, with agile methodologies (e.g. SAFe, SCRUM,
KANBAN)
● Nice to have knowledge of regulations and guidelines related to CGT pharma compliance of
computerized systems (relevant elements of GxP, relevant CFR) and data (GDPR, HIPAA, local
regulations)
● Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skill
Mandatory Skills:
Roche Pharma Global Technical Operations (PT) delivers a fast evolving portfolio of new Cell & Gene
Therapy (CGT) products to bring new curative treatments to patients. This portfolio of new products
comes with the great promise to bring unprecedented medical advances to patients but also presents
unique challenges: living products (e.g. cells) need to be delivered to patients in highly personalized
supply chain models, which meet fast turn-around-times at a zero-error quality level.
Efforts are ongoing to build CGT capabilities that serve as enablers to success with new molecular
modalities (reprogrammed cells, neo-epitope targeted therapies, viral vector based gene therapy etc.).
These new CGT capabilities are designed within the context of new, patient centric value chains that
facilitate a seamless transition of products, a safe exchange of personalized health data and enables a
successful patient journey.
About the position
As a DevOps Engineer, you will join the ITCT development and manufacturing ART, you will work with
other internal or external experts, specializing in various aspects of Cell and Gene Therapy. Together,
the team collaborates on multiple products that contribute to Roche's internal business requirements.
The DevOps Engineer is a key player in the agile team, responsible for working on the technical aspects
of CI/CD pipeline. The role involves hands-on development/configuration, specifications review,
architecture design, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
