Job Description:

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Pune

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in software development and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, GCP, GitLab, Terraform, and Kubernetes. This role involves collaborating with development and operations teams to enhance our deployment processes, automate workflows, and ensure the reliability of our applications in cloud environments.

Mandatory Skills:

• Programming: Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying and managing applications.
• Version Control: Strong knowledge of GitLab for source code management and CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Containerization: Proficiency in Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Familiarity with Go and Node.js for application development.
• Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms for multi-cloud strategies.

Experience Level:

• Overall Experience: Minimum of 5 years in software development and/or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on Experience: 2-3 years of direct experience with mandatory skills.
• Maximum Experience: Up to 10-12 years.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have transitioned from a software development role into a DevOps/Cloud position, bringing a solid understanding of both development practices and operational requirements. They should be proactive in improving processes and have a strong commitment to automation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline deployment and operational processes.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to ensure rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Infrastructure Management: Utilize Terraform for managing infrastructure as code, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Container Management: Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues in cloud environments.
