Purpose of Position The DevOps Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the platform services that run NetJets business applications. In this capacity, the DevOps Engineer primarily works with development teams to design and deliver infrastructure and platform solutions that meet operational targets for high availability, DR, logging, and monitoring, as well as implement DevOps and automation for infrastructure services and application deployments. Tasks and Responsibilities * Ongoing application implementation, release, and support. * Design, delivery, and maintenance of platform services (Websphere, Tomcat, NodeJS, Informatica, Layer7, Datadog, and AWS). * Implement DevOps processes including scripting, automation and continuous delivery. * Participation in an on-call after-hours support rotation and Second/Third-level Help Desk ticket resolution for a 24x7x365 operation. * Establish, maintain and follow standard information security processes and remediate vulnerabilities per company policy. * Monitoring of NetJets' server infrastructure and health, including the taking of proactive measures to ensure continued stability utilizing existing technologies (Datadog). Education Bachelor's in Information Technology Certifications and Licenses Years of Experience 4-6 years of experience Core Competencies Adaptability Collaboration Strives for Positive Results Service-Oriented Curiosity Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs) Required Technical Skillset * 4+ years of experience in Software and/or Infrastructure roles, with at least 1 year in a DevOps role * Previous administration in middleware technologies such as Websphere Application Server, Tomcat, NodeJS. * Familiar with the fundamentals of web application and relational database architectures * Understanding of Agile and other development processes and methodologies * Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows system administration experience required * Strong experience with a scripting language (Python preferred) * Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab) * In-depth knowledge working with and managing Git (Bitbucket, Github, CodeCommit) * Experience using log management tools for troubleshooting Desirable/Preferred Technical Skillset * Experience administering and utilizing APM tools (Datadog) a plus * Previous Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Chef, HashiCorp Packer) desirable * Knowledge/experience with Websphere, IBM RDQM, Informatica, BitBucket, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Helm, Terraform, Jenkins, Broadcom Layer7, Kafka, Python is desirable * AWS / Cloud experience highly desirable Business/Personal Skills * Excellent verbal & written communication skills * Excellent problem-solving skills * Team-oriented, works well with Senior Level team members and Team Lead * Continuous improvement mindset * Demonstrated ability to learn and quickly comprehend new concepts and technologies How NetJets Supports You NetJets is proud to provide a variety of attractive benefits to our employees, including many at no cost.
