We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the deployment, automation, and stability of ERP, CRM, and business-critical applications within ECI’s Residential Construction division. This individual will serve as a technical expert and trusted contributor, helping elevate the performance of the team by bringing deep expertise and high standards in DevOps practices. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and is passionate about building resilient, scalable systems across both private and hybrid cloud environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Serve as the go-to DevOps expert on the team, driving best practices in cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure using AWS and private cloud platforms.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for PHP, Java, Kotlin, and NodeJS-based applications, with a focus on automation and speed.
• Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use tools like Terraform and Ansible to manage infrastructure as code for reliable provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
• Monitoring & Reliability: Implement and maintain observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog) to ensure uptime, performance, and proactive issue resolution.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Dev, SRE, and Product teams to streamline release processes, diagnose production issues, and continuously improve systems and workflows.
  
  

Areas Of Specialization (Preferred But Not Required)

In addition to the core DevOps responsibilities, experience or specialization in the following areas would be highly beneficial. These areas represent opportunities for growth and collaboration but are supported by other dedicated teams:

• Security & Compliance: Familiarity with application security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ITSM, ISO, SOC2) is helpful, though our InfoSec team manages overall security policies.
• Database Management: Experience managing MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis environments is a plus, particularly around performance tuning and backup management. The primary DBA responsibilities are handled by a dedicated database team.
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): While the core focus is on traditional DevOps duties, experience with SRE principles like auto-scaling, disaster recovery, and redundancy will aid collaboration with our SRE teams.
• Agile Practices: Familiarity with Agile or Scrum processes (e.g., participating in sprint planning) is useful for collaboration with engineering teams, but this role is not responsible for Scrum Master duties.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps experience in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Proficiency with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Aurora, ElasticSearch, Redis).
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and automation.
• Expertise in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, or similar.
• Proven experience in team leadership and mentoring.
• Strong collaboration skills, working across teams to support deployment and operational needs.
