The “DevOps Engineer”, reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure, will be working with developers and other related IT employees to oversee code releases and integrations for digital pipelines and increase productivity by combining an understanding of both engineering and coding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 3+ years of professional software development and DevOps experience
• Solid understanding of HTTP, networking, databases, software development lifecycle, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
• Experience with Linux system administration
• Experience in Kubernetes and Docker; Kafka, RabbitMQ applications; Jenkins, Artifactory, Git or similar toolsets
• Experience and knowledge on Microservice Architecture; .Net core environment and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy)
• Ability to multi task workloads in a fast pace dynamic environment
• Written/verbal English knowledge will be an asset

Responsibilities

• Consult with management on operational requirements of software solutions
• Contribute expertise on information system options, risk and operational impacts
• Installation and configuration of solutions
• Collaborate with developers on software requirements
• Drive Continuous Integration (CI) improvements to automate service/system integration and testing methods
• Drive Continuous Deployment (CD) improvements to automate high availability release and rollback methods
• Drive improvements in reliability and resiliency including auto-scaling, self-healing, and circuit-breakers
• Document processes and monitoring performance metrics
• Experience with Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure API Gateway and Azure API Management.
• Proficiency in IaC (Infrastructure as Code): The ability to manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Security-Focused DevOps (DevSecOps): The ability to integrate security principles into DevOps processes. Specifically, having knowledge in container security, security checks within CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security policies.
