Quadratyx is looking for a DevOps Engineer to support our rapidly-growing development organization and cloud infrastructure. As a company theory we're embracing the total-ownership model with engineers oncall for their own services in a supportive and collaborative environment. The DevOps team is a crucial partner in building a reliable and scalable product for our customers and a sustainable work environment for our product and engineering teams

Requisites

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar.
  
  

Experience (Years)

• 5+ years of overall Experience which include at least 2 years of cloud technology like AWS / GCP/ Azure and 2 years of exp. as systems administrator
  
  

Job Responsibilities

• Managing the installation and configuration of solutions.
• Managing the big data infrastructure operational across various environments [ In house + cloud].
• Install and manage Big data stack for development and production environments; Open to travel to client location as required.
• Collaborating with developers on software requirements, as well as interpreting test stage data.
• Contributing expertise on information system options, risk, and operational impact.
• Mentoring junior software developers in gaining experience and assuming DevOps responsibilities.
• Automate and streamline our operations and processes for scale.
• Maintain SLAs by tuning systems according to scale.
• Documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
• Conforming to best practices in network administration and cybersecurity.
• Create and maintain automated system backups and procedures
  
  

Technical Skills

• Has hands on experience working on AWS (at-least 2+ year) and Google Cloud.
• Container and automation tools such as Docker, Ansible and Salt.
• Well versed with at-least two scripting languages - Shell and one more (Python , Ruby).
• Sound understanding of OS (Linux, CentOs).
• In-depth knowledge of Networks, Security, Database maintenance and performance.
• Code, Build and Release management using GIT, Jenkins and Chef.
• Optimizing and monitoring server performance and infrastructure cost optimizations
• Operation and architecture of multi-tier distributed systems Involving load balancers, caching layers and real-time event processing.
• Ability to keep up with software development trends and innovation.
• Should be able to work Independently and execute tasks with precision.
• Office suite of products, In-house systems administration, secure access, file sharing, authentication, and authorization services.
