IT Resourcing at Ergo is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer for an initial 12 month contract role with a large client based in both Dublin and Wexford. This role requires onsite work twice per month from either their Dublin or Wexford office.

What will you do?

• Design & Develop: Create and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scripts using Bicep to automate Azure resource provisioning.
• Automate: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python.
• Collaborate: Work with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimise: Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and costs.
• Network Design: Configure networks in a hybrid environment, including Microsoft landing zone hub-spoke architecture, isolated networking in Azure, DNS, routing, firewalls, network security groups, Azure Front Door, and Web Application Firewall.
• Security: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot: Resolve infrastructure-related issues.
• Documentation: Document processes, configurations, and procedures.

What do you need?

• Education: NFQ Level 6 in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Certification: Microsoft Azure Administrator AZ-104 or higher.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Skills: Fluent English (level C2 Mastery or Proficiency).
• On-Site/Hybrid: 2 days per month in either Wexford or Dublin
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in developing, extending, and maintaining software frameworks for tooling development.
• Python & Azure IaC: Proven experience in Python development and Azure IaC development, ideally using Bicep.
• Network Configuration: Experience in Azure network design and configuration in a hybrid environment.
• Monitoring & Logging: Experience in configuring and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting in Azure.
