About the Role:

We're looking for a Senior GitLab Engineer to join our high-impact DevOps team. In this role, you'll lead major CI/CD migrations, modernize automation workflows, and drive GitLab adoption across the org. You’ll replace Jenkins, Docker, Bitbucket, and Automic with a modern toolchain including GitLab CI/CD and Podman, enabling scalable and secure DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate legacy Jenkins/Automic workflows to GitLab CI/CD
• Build scalable GitLab pipelines (multi-stage, parallel, SAST/DAST, YAML templating)
• Configure GitLab Runners, Groups, Permissions, and enterprise security features
• Replace Docker-based builds with Podman/Buildah
• Use Terraform/Ansible to manage infrastructure and GitLab runners
• Automate deployments, environment configs, and incident remediation
• Evangelize GitLab best practices across teams with training & documentation

Skills & Experience Required:

• 8+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles
• 3+ years hands-on with GitLab CI/CD, GitLab Admin, GitLab Runner
• Scripting: Bash, Python, or Go
• IAC: Terraform, Ansible
• Containers: Docker, Podman, Kubernetes
• Experience with GitOps, GitLab templates, SAST/DAST integration
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Bitbucket, JFrog, Automic, and SCM tooling
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred:

• GitLab Certification (CI/CD or Admin)
• Experience contributing to GitLab or similar OSS projects
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
