Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Tokyo, Japan

My client, a leading IT services and consulting company are looking for a technically strong DevOps Engineer with experience in either AWS or Azure cloud to join their experienced team.

Key Responsibilities:

Scripting and Automation:

• Utilize your experience with Python, Linux/Unix shell scripting to automate and streamline operations.
• Implement and manage automation, CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.

Cloud and Containerization:

• Develop and maintain applications using AWS Cloud services, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Integrate RESTful APIs to enhance system functionalities.

Development and Programming:

• Develop applications for public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript.
• Leverage your extensive experience in Python (5+ years)

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting.
• Hands-on development experience with AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Practical experience in ITIL or similar change and incident management frameworks.
• Proficiency in Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and other CI/CD and IaC tools.
• Experience with RESTful API integration.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new monitoring frameworks and contribute to system maintenance and improvement.
• Development experience for public/private/hybrid cloud applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript.
• Proven track record of successful collaboration across regions and teams.
• 5+ years of experience in Python development or 5+ years of experience in Core Java development.
• N3+ level proficiency in Japanese and fluency in English.

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced certifications in AWS, Azure, or related technologies.
• Familiarity with additional programming languages and Containerization tools.
• Experience with Jenkins and Kubernetes.
