This job manages the back-end services for VBG public websites which run on the Amazon Web Services platform

Non-technical Requirements

• Independent self starter - someone who can take direction/requirements and make decisions as to the best method to build.
• Communications skills - this person will need to groom requests for new builds with internal clients and understand how to turn marketing requests into efficient applications/website code.
• Troubleshooting - person needs to be able to troubleshoot errors, whether they be server-side or code-base related.
• Availability to be on-call with a stable internet connection
  
  

5 Years Minimum Required

• AWS S3 and overlaid applications
• Next.js, Node.js, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, React.js
• GitHub (or GitLab/BitBucket) and Jira (or Jira-like application)

• Contentstack CMS (or relevant experience with a MACH CMS)
• Non-SQL databases (Mongo, Redis, etc)
• Web performance tools (New Relic, Lighthouse, GTmetrix, etc)

• AWS EC2 and IAM
• GitHub administration
• Disaster recovery procedures and troubleshooting
• Security software - ZAP, Tenable required
• Catchpoint or other monitoring software
