Drawing from a solid background in Azure services, CI/CD methodologies, and system monitoring, you will lead the charge in automating deployment processes, enhancing system performance, and ensuring robust security measures are in place. Key Responsibilities: * Cloud Infrastructure Development: Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, focusing on scalability, security, and reliability. * CI/CD Pipeline Construction: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, and other automation tools, reducing deployment times and increasing deployment frequency. * Scripting and Automation: Utilise scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate deployment, monitoring, and management tasks. * Containerization and Orchestration: Deploy and manage containerized applications, where appropriate, improving system resilience and resource efficiency. * Monitoring and Optimization: Implement system monitoring to ensure optimal performance, swiftly address potential issues and identify opportunities for cost optimisation. * Security Best Practices: Collaborate with the security team to enforce security policies, perform vulnerability assessments, and respond to incidents to protect against threats. * Technical Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, IT operations staff, and project managers to ensure a seamless, efficient development pipeline that aligns with organizational goals. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. * Solid experience with Azure services, including compute, networking, storage, and security. * Proficient in implementing CI/CD pipelines and in the use of automation and orchestration tools. * Experience of working with/optimising relational database systems. * Understanding of container technologies and orchestration platforms. * Knowledge of scripting for automation of cloud operations. * Experience with system monitoring tools and an understanding of security practices related to cloud infrastructure. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, work with multiple teams to help deliver and spread understanding of cloud infrastructure design.
