The Job

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be part of the team that manages the security and availability of Agora’s cloud infrastructure. You’ll use your flair for automation to design and implement infrastructure as code and standardized processes for continuous delivery. You’ll use your curiosity to stay abreast of emerging technologies to help Agora remain on the cutting edge in all we do. Engineering at Agora is customer-centered, creative, and collaborative. What You’ll Do

  • Own the operational availability and security of all cloud infrastructure environments .
  • Design and implement full-scale DevOps Automation including CI:CD, infrastructure management, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Scope, design, and implement platform solutions that make appropriate tradeoffs between resiliency, durability, and performance.
  • Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack.
  • Plan for the growth of Agora’s infrastructure.
  • Support continuous compliance with SOC 2 Type II controls and NIST 800-171 r3 frameworks.

What You’ll Need

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Management Information Systems.
  • Experience in the creation of highly automated infrastructures.
  • 2+ years of experience in Information Technology focused on cloud infrastructure design and operation.
  • 2+ years of experience in provisioning, operations, and management of AWS or Azure environments.
  • Proficiency in common AWS and Azure services.
  • Experience deploying infrastructure as code using AWS, CDK, and CloudFormation.
  • Experience building/configuring operations monitoring solutions.
  • Understanding and experience of multiple database and storage technologies.
  • Familiarity with the full SDLC.
  • Experience with Disaster Recovery planning and regular validation.
  • Curiosity and drive to experiment and share knowledge with the team to empower others.
  • Experience with SOC 2 Type 2 and NIST framework controls, monitoring and validation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with containers and related technologies.
  • Software engineering background.
  • Canary deployment or blue: green experience would be a bonus!
