About L'Express Connect:

L'Express Connect manages two innovative digital platforms (soon three): L'Express Franchise and L'Express Education. These platforms provide franchisors and educational institutions with powerful online alternatives to traditional physical fairs. We enhance visibility, foster connections, and generate qualified leads for our clients through three pillars: digital connections, engaging virtual events, and specialized media.

Our goal is clear: to become the go-to European platform for franchisors and educational institutions seeking international growth opportunities.

Role Overview:

We are currently expanding our platforms across Europe and seek an experienced International Business Developer to accelerate our growth. In this strategic role, you'll identify, engage, and onboard international brands, driving them through our sales pipeline from initial contact to contract signing. Additionally, you'll build and nurture a strong network of influencers and key opinion leaders who will advocate for our solutions.

Please note that the position is based in Lyon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify international franchise brands and educational institutions with European growth ambitions.
  • Manage the full business development process: prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and strategic partners.
  • Establish and nurture a network of key influencers and referrers within the franchising and educational sectors.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (marketing, events, editorial) to ensure alignment and effectiveness in our business development strategy.

Profile Required:

  • Proven track record (At least 5 years' experience) in international business development, ideally within digital platforms, franchising, education, or related sectors.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and in French; proficiency in additional European languages is a strong plus.
  • A strategic mindset coupled with a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to work autonomously, proactively identifying new opportunities and acting decisively.
  • Existing network in the franchising is highly advantageous.
