Development Engineer II This role requires technical experiences related to building cutting-edge product and Development experiences. This role needs to be comfortable working with the manufacturing industry as well as high technology-driven products with LG and customers. This role is focused on developing a project and deeply involving technical requirements in the development as well as issue resolving. Customer & Tier companies communication and development management to ensure strength and innovation in the LG automotive business. This role directly influences the integration project development across all LG and automotive manufactures and requires confidence in identifying problems, communicating the concerns and driving for closure in order to deliver the best development quality within the time frame with build trust while demonstrating excellent features implementation and problem resolving skills. This role must have a humble service mindset, and be a results-driven self-motivator. Responsibilities: * Resolving Software & Hardware issues and communicate the customer to handle the issues * Manage OEM customer design request, develop APQP and manage 3rd party solution * Support to identify and manage all feature issues, publish a weekly report * Support cross-functional teams Validation, Manufacturing, Sales and Quality, customers * Communicate with LGE HQ cross-functional teams not limited to program * Support multiple teams such as program management, validation, quality team * Release weekly development progress report and communicate with customer's engineers * Other duties as assigned Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering * 2+ years or equivalent experience in automotive component development or testing * Prior experience with: * Vehicle Infotainment features & Telematics and Vehicle interface technology products knowledge * Software development (CS design process including C, C++, QNX, Linux, Cinemo, XML, HMI, CAN network, embedded system) * Hardware development skill (EE design process including schematic design, board layout, circuit analysis) * Work across multiple disciplines (SiriusXM, Carplay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, WiFi, Audio sound control, RF, OTA, VIF, CPU&Micom, Network, Hardware, testing) * MS office software applications * Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail * Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies * Passion for technology and problem solving Travel/Physical Requirements: * Up to 40% travel, including out-of-state and international travel as required * Use of X-ray equipment and environmental chambers * Ability to: * Sit/Drive and/or test in a vehicle for up to 8 hours a day, up to 4 hours at a time * Ability to lift/carry up to 30lb samples, benches, box and tools * Interact with display/center controller/steering wheel while driving or while stationary testing Preferred: * Prior experience with: * Vehicle Infotainment & Telematics feature and Vehicle interface technology products * Complex systems * IATF 16949 certification * APQP&FMEA certification * Bilingual - Korean / English Benefits Offered Full-Time Employees: * No-cost employee premiums for you and your eligible dependents for competitive medical, dental, vision and prescription benefits. * Auto enrollment with immediate vesting of competitive company matching contributions in a 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with several investment options. * Generous Paid Time Off program that includes company holidays and a combined bank of paid sick and vacation time. * Performance based Short-Term Incentives (varies by role). * Access to confidential mental health resources to help you and your loved ones improve your quality of life.
