The Team
Join our team as a Development Director and contribute to the design and creation of world-class software.
You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of solutions that operate in all facets of A&M Tax: from internal tools that improve efficiencies to client-facing enterprise systems.
This position will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle: documentation, development, testing, debugging, and support. You will have opportunities to mentor developers by providing guidance and knowledge sharing to help them grow and improve their skills.
How you will contribute
* Lead and manage a team of professionals including software developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to drive the design and development of software.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to identify and define business problems and requirements.
* Architect elegant and scalable solutions that leverage the latest technologies and best practices.
* Take a hands-on approach to developing efficient and maintainable code bases.
* Test your work to ensure high standards of quality.
* Mentor junior and senior developers.
Qualifications
* A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data analytics, management of information systems, or information technology and accounting
A master's degree in a related field is a plus.
* A practical approach to building software.
* 10+ years of experience working with
* Microsoft .NET, C#, and object-oriented principles
* Relational databases like MSSQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
* Web API development, testing, and deployment
* Azure hosting and utilizing common services
* 5+ years
* Front end technologies like React and JavaScript/TypeScript
* Leading software development teams
* Designing and architecting Systems
* Deploying and implementing solutions
* Strong problem-solving skills and an entrepreneurial approach to work.
* Excellent communication and business writing skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Tax knowledge and related experience is a plus.

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined periodically as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k) retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $130,000 - $175,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
